According to the Hockey News, Turning to the Edmonton Oilers, Bob Stauffer of 630 CHED'S Oilers Now fully expects the Oilers to be in the market for a second-pairing, right-shot defenseman, preferably one with some term left on his contract.
In addition to Fabbro and Andersson being prime candidates, another trade rumour regarding Philadelphia Flyers defenceman Rasmus Ristolainen has surfaced.
The one name that fits Stauffer's criteria is Flyers defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen, who has three years remaining on his contract at a $5.1 million cap hit.
Jonathan Bailey of Philly Hockey Now believes that would make the Flyers an ideal fit for a trade with the Oilers, pointing to often maligned defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen as a potential fit on the Edmonton blue line.
As further pending updates are awaiting regarding Evander Kane's LTIR status, these are currently the names swirling around in the trade rumour mill.
