Brad Malone, 35, has always been a beloved member of the Edmonton Oilers franchise. Although he struggled to gain traction at the NHL level, you would be remise not to acknowledge all of his personal success in the AHL.
Malone played 41 games for the Edmonton Oilers, including two Stanley Cup playoff games for the team in 2022. The beloved former Condors captain will be taking on a new endeavour with the Oshawa generals at the CHL level.
The Oshawa Generals are excited to announce Brad Malone as our new Player Development Coach. Malone brings a wealth of professional hockey experience to the role. Drafted by the Colorado Avalanche in 2007, Malone went on to play with the Carolina Hurricanes and the Edmonton Oilers before retiring at the end of the last season, wrapping up his final years with the Bakersfield Condors following the 2024 Calder Cup playoffs.
Congratulations to Brad Malone in this new exciting step in his coaching career.
