As per the NHL website, Dylan Guenther signed an eight-year contract with the Utah Hockey Club on Friday. Financial terms were not disclosed and it begins next season.
According to X (formally known as twitter) the deal is an 8 year contract worth $7 MM AAV per season.
The 21-year-old forward is entering the final season of his three-year, entry-level contract and could have become a restricted free agent after the season.
Selected by Arizona with the No. 9 pick in the 2021 NHL Draft, he has 50 points (24 goals, 26 assists) in 78 games.
The Edmonton born native is making the city proud. Dylan Guenther rose to prominence during his years with the Oil Kings. In 2021-22, Guenther led the Oil Kings all the way to the Memorial Cup and tallied 91 points in just 56 regular season games.
