It's no secret that the Edmonton Oilers have undergone a major face lift since drafting hockey superstar Connor McDavid. Over the past decade, the Oilers franchise have seen their stock steadily increase, and the team has generated a flow of interest from fans across the world.
With that being said, what was once considered one of the least desirable city's to play in has now become one of the most popular destinations amongst hockey players. Here's what Elliotte Friedman had to say on the matter:
This is great news for Oilers fans as their club continues to improve while subsequently garnering further interest from elite UFA's. The Oilers had a glorious Stanley Cup run last season, getting all the way to game 7 before being ousted by the Florida Panthers. Nonetheless, Edmonton is now the place where players want to be.
