Elliotte Friedman has just confirmed on X (formally known as twitter) that Leon Draisaitl will be signing an 8 year contract extension with the Edmonton Oilers.

Although the Edmonton Oilers have not made any public statements yet, we can anticipate the club making it's formal announcement at some point today.
