Evander Kane is set to enter his third year of his contract. As a player, he poses as an electrifying power forward who delivers thunderous hits and delivers timely scoring when needed. Although Kane has proven to be an effective asset for the Oilers, there's been a steady decline in production since Parick Maroon sliced his wrist open back in 2022 against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
With that being said, Allan Mitchel from the Athletic suggests that the Oilers should consider moving Evander Kane at the deadline if he isn't healthy come spring time.
Mitchell reports that Bowman should seriously consider a deadline trade if Evander is still dealing with nagging injuries leading up to the post-season. When fully recovered, there's a number of teams who would love Evander's services. But ultimately, it all comes down to how healthy Evander is down the stretch.
