Leon Draisaitl scored the shootout winner on a slapshot as the Oilers won their second straight pre-season game, defeating the Vancouver Canucks 3-2 on Monday.
Leon Draisaitl AKA "The Deutsch Dangler" has always been recognized for his sneaky offensive abilities. Being the preseason, Leon definitely wanted to try something a little different when head coach Knoblauch called his number for the shootout.
In a total old' school hockey move, Leon skated down the ice and absolutely let go a of wicked slapshot, beating the Canucks goaltender with ease.
Corey Perry and Ben Gleason also scored for the Oilers, who improved to 3-3 in NHL exhibition action.
The oilers also got their first glimpse of their dynamic second line. Head coach Kris Knoblauch also had this to say after the game:
