Should fans be worried about Darnell Nurse?

It has recently been reported that Darnell Nurse is dealing with a lingering injury sustained during the 2024 post season.

Darnell Nurse is one of the more controversial Oilers players on the team. Nurse undergoes quite a bit of scrutiny in regards to his monstrous contract, with much of the discussion being overall his instability over the years.

With that in mind, bagged milk form Oilers Nation has some pretty good insight concerning Nurse's injury and how it could impact the team moving forward.

If this Nurse injury has him out for any significant length of time, my concern is how long it will take him to catch up. The longer that is, the more likely it is that the Oilers will struggle in the early weeks of the season, just like they did last year.

Then again, I also know that I could be making a mountain out of a molehill, but that's where my mind goes without information about what's actually going on. Here's hoping whatever Darryl is battling right now is nothing major because the Oilers will need him.

Despite Nurse getting a lot of hate from the fanbase, he will be crucial for the Oilers during the initial stages of the regular season. The Oilers defensive core has slightly regressed over the offseason, so having Doc available will be crucial for the team moving forward.
