Now, for those of you who aren't familiar with the President's Trophy, it is an annual award given to the team that finishes the regular season with the best overall record, or most points.
The Edmonton Oilers have recently been rumoured to be the Stanley Cup favourites, but with the recent additions of Jeff Skinner and Viktor Arvidsson, hockey analysts are reporting that the Oilers will be virtually unstoppable.
As per the Athletic, The Oilers are the league favorite at 106.5 points and it's usually not wise to bet the over on the best team. Usually. Edmonton's line doesn't go far enough and should be closer to 110 points - the Oilers are that good going into this season.
Ever since the Oilers dispatched former head coach Jay Woodcroft and hired his successor Kris Knoblauch, the Oilers have rapidly emerged as the most foridable threat in the NHL.
On top of being 2004-25 Stanley Cup favourites, the Oilers now have the best odds at raising the President's Trophy banner at Rogers Place.
