The Oilers are currently sitting a four players who have ranked top 50 in TSN's prestigious list. Among there other Oilers who have made the cut are Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, and Evan Bouchard.
Hyman was selected by the Florida Panthers in the fifth round (No. 123) in the 2010 NHL Draft after he had 75 points (35 goals, 40 assists) with Hamilton of the Ontario Junior Hockey League. In 2010-11, he was named the Canadian Junior A Player of the Year and RBC CJHL Player of the Year award.
Zach Hyman has been an absolute god send for the Oilers during his time here. In addition to being listed on the NHL's top 50, he has been recognized as being one of the best free agent signings of all time.
Last year, Hyman notched 53 goals and 23 assists for a combined total of 77 points - impressive to day the least.
After falling short of a Stanley Cup victory at the hands of the team who originally drafted him, Hyman is heading into the 2024-25 season with a vengeance. If he can manage another 50+ goal season, there's no doubt he will be climbing up the top 50 ranks next season.
