In the first round of the Stanley Cup finals, the Edmonton Oilers and the LA Kings battled it out in game 3. Unfortunately, the Oilers suffered a heartbreaking defeat in overtime. However, recent evidence has surfaced indicating that the winning goal should not have been counted due to a high stick from a Kings player.

Oilers coach Jay Woodcroft issued a coach's challenge, leading to a five-minute review by the referees. Ultimately, the referees determined that the puck did not come into contact with the Kings player's stick, and the goal was allowed to stand.

Nevertheless, a new camera angle has since emerged, providing clear evidence that the puck did indeed touch the Kings player's stick. Consequently, the goal should have been disallowed.

As a result of this revelation, there has been a great deal of controversy. Many believe that the Oilers should have continued playing in overtime. Nevertheless, the Oilers will aim to bounce back in their next game and continue their quest for the Stanley Cup.
