The Edmonton Oilers may be focused on their playoff run, but that doesn't mean they're neglecting their prospect pool. While their AHL affiliate, the Bakersfield Condors, had an early exit from the playoffs, the Oilers are still committed to adding talent to their pipeline.

To that end, the Condors have signed Quinnipiac forward Ethan De Jong, who spent the last five years playing collegiate hockey. De Jong served as an alternate captain for the last two seasons and helped lead his team to an NCAA championship.

Over his last 83 games in the Quinnipiac system, De Jong tallied 72 points and a +55 rating. Though he went undrafted, he has a proven track record as a postseason performer and is expected to be a valuable addition to the Oilers' future.
