Despite his remarkable season, Connor McDavid faced the possibility of a blemish on his record due to a significant hit he delivered to Kings defenseman Mikey Anderson during a game. McDavid's hit left Anderson needing several minutes to recover, and some believed that it deserved a more severe penalty than the 2-minute boarding call he received.

However, McDavid has recently demonstrated that he will not take anyone's crap, and the NHL's department of safety ultimately decided that no further action was necessary. Fans can debate whether the hit was right or wrong, but the Oilers still emerged victorious, winning the game 2-0.

Kings fans took to social media to express their outrage, but the Oilers are now focused on their upcoming home game against the Anaheim Ducks on April 1st at 10:00 PM Eastern.
