Oilers unveil the lineup against the Seattle Kraken

It's game day in Oil Country - tonight the boys take on a divisional rival - The Seattle Kraken.

Oilers insider Bob Stauffer recently posted on X (formally known as twitter) the lineups for tonight preseason game.

The Oilers are rolling out a pretty formidable lineup tonight. They have their entire first line dressing tonight, as well as their first defensive pairing.

As per Davie Jones Locker, So, just how lethal can a preseason roster be when a team is facing up against the Western Conference Champions who also happen to have a Conn Smythe winner? It can't be that bad in preseason, right? The Edmonton Oilers are going to be a team laser-focused this season on making it back to the Stanley Cup Final to finish the job this time, but preseason hockey is a bit like Whose Line is it Anyway where «the points don't matter.»

It's not about wins or losses just yet, it's about evaluating what kind of team you've got. They still need to evaluate their rookies and fringe players, so it's not like they can be out there icing a full-strength squad yet.

The Oilers will also be getting a look at the Kraken's new coaching staff with former Stanley Cup Champion Dan Bylsma at the helm. The Kraken also have Jessica Campbell behind the bench, the first female coach in NHL history. It will be interesting to see how the Oilers perform after losing their last 3 games.
