BREAKING NEWS - Major Development With The NHL's Newest Jersey Manufacture

The NHL on-ice and retail authentic jerseys have been manufactured by Adidas since the 2017-2018 season, but will be phased out after 2023-2024.

However, fans and collectors have complained about the limited availability of on-ice jerseys, which are more expensive than the lower quality Fanatics breakaways.

The good news is that Fanatics will take over in 2024 and will manufacture the retail authentic jerseys in Canada. This is significant because the higher-end Adidas jerseys are typically made in Canada.

Fanatics makes all kinds of great products in all parts of the world, which will now include more manufacturing in Canada. In addition, they are bringing on board an incredible roster of product people who have decades of experience making NHL jerseys all the way to the CCM days.

SP Uniforms, the current manufacturer of Adidas on-ice jerseys, will also make the Fanatics retail authentic jerseys. This is the first time since Reebok's Indo-Edge line that fans will have access to on-ice authentics. Although no price points have been announced, this news suggests a commitment to providing fans with a better-quality retail product than what Adidas currently offers.
