After the final whistle, Oilers star player Connor McDavid publicly called for action from the NHL player safety committee against Golden Knights defenseman Alex Pietrangelo.Pietrangelo laid a vicious lumberjack slash on Leon Draisaitl's wrist, an act that McDavid deemed unsportsmanlike and unacceptable.
"I would like to see it reviewed and a suspension. That was not a hockey play," McDavid said in a post-game interview.
