The 2022-2023 NHL playoffs have been the most scrutinized tournament in recent memory. It seems that every time a game is being played whether it's against the Oilers, the Maple Leafs or the Hurricanes many fans and pundits call into question what is considered a penalty, a suspension or a fine.

During game four between the Oilers and the Vegas Golden Knights, Oilers defenseman Darnell Nurse was suspended one game for instigating a fight with Golden Knight Nicolas Hauge. The NHL also gave Oilers Head Coach Jay Woodcroft a $10,000 fine.

After the game, Sportsnet stats gave a stat regarding instigation during the regular season and that neither had a suspension.

I find it odd that Nurse would get the suspension and yet many felt that both players wanted to fight at the end of that game as tensions continued to boil over as the series rolled along.

Now being the best of three, these two teams are going to play hard and watch their tempers flare even more. This series certainly hasn't disappointed anyone.
