The Bakersfield Condors' early exit from the AHL playoffs has opened up some interesting possibilities for the Edmonton Oilers. With the Condors no longer in the playoffs, the Oilers have more flexibility with call-ups during the post-season.
In addition to this, the Oilers have made multiple roster moves, including the recall of two goalies, Calvin Pickard and Oliver Rodrigue, from the Condors. Dylan Holloway has also been recalled.
All three players (2 goalies) have 2-way contracts, which means they can receive an NHL and an AHL salary, depending on certain factors that determine the pay rate. While Holloway and Rodrigue are still on their entry-level contracts, the Oilers will be hoping that these players can make a positive impact in the post-season.
