Despite playing in just 13 games in the NHL last season, Stuart Skinner has shown great potential. With the support of coach Jay Woodcroft and the Edmonton Oilers, Skinner has since become an All-Star goalie, surpassing Grant Fuhr's rookie season record for wins and adding another accomplishment to his list.

In his first NHL playoff game, Skinner faced off against veteran goalie Joonas Korpisalo. Although the Oilers ultimately lost in overtime, Skinner held his own and gained valuable experience. He recognized the need to continue growing and drawing on his successful experience in the AHL.

Despite making 31 saves, Skinner gave up 4 goals in a rematch against Korpisalo from last season's high-scoring game. To win the series, the Oilers and Skinner will need to regroup and provide more support on defense.
