Before the playoffs began, it's always expected that names like Connor McDavid, ryan nugent hopkins and leon dry seidel would be names considered for the Oilers MVP for these playoffs.

Now that the Oilers have moved on to round two after dispensing the LA Kings and six games there is a new front-runner for this title it's not who you'd expect.

Oilers defenseman Evan Bouchard has become a lightning rod of points, especially on the power play during the LA series.

Oilers reporter Bob Stauffer, explains that Bouchard has tied a record for the most power-play points in one series now he sits with the greats of Potvin, Coffey, and Carlson. That's pretty impressive I have to say.

The Oilers will be facing the Vegas Golden Knights this should be a great series. Both teams have high amounts of offence and great speed, it remains to be seen how it will end but I expect this to go the distance of seven games.

Bouchard will become another player that the Golden Knights will need to worry about and figure out how to shut down otherwise he is going to continue his run.
