Edmonton Oilers fans are outraged after the NHL changed the playoff schedule for the Oilers vs Vegas Golden Knights round 2 series, just one night before Game 1.
The revised schedule sees Game 2 moved to Saturday, which has caused headaches for Oilers fans who had already made travel plans for the original schedule of Wednesday and Friday. Some fans have had to pay an extra $1,200 to $1,400 to change their flight and hotel bookings to accommodate the new schedule. To add insult to injury, a concert scheduled for May 10 at Rogers Place has also been moved to May 11, further complicating plans for fans who had already made arrangements.
While the NHL hasn't provided a reason for the last-minute change, it's clear that many fans are feeling shortchanged and out of pocket due to the lack of communication and consideration.
