While all of the call-ups are noteworthy, Pinelli stands out as perhaps the most interesting addition. The 20-year-old forward is coming directly from the OHL, where he scored an impressive 41 goals and 90 points in just 60 regular season games. However, his playoff performance was marred by a three-game suspension for a blindside hit in the first round, which led to his absence in the first two games against the London Knights.
Despite Pinelli's absence, Kitchener could not recover and was eliminated last week. Nevertheless, his offensive prowess and potential make him an exciting addition to the Kings' playoff roster.
Several of the other call-ups have already made appearances for the Kings this season, but the massive 6'6" Helenius is still waiting for his NHL debut. With their season on the line, the Kings will be looking to these players to provide valuable depth and support as they try to force a game seven on Monday.
