Today marks the anniversary of April 29th, 1997, when the Edmonton Oilers and Dallas Stars faced off in the Western Quarter Finals.

The game featured notable players such as Curtis Joseph, who was the Oilers' goalie that year, and Joe Nieuwendyk, who played for the Dallas Stars at the time.

Witness Cujo's incredible skills in action as he makes a spectacular play.

The Nieuwendyk stop played a crucial role in sustaining the playoff aspirations of the Edmonton Oilers. With an abundance of offensive talent at their disposal, Edmonton emerged victorious over the Dallas Stars with a 4-3 scoreline.

The likes of Mike Grier, Boris Mironov, Andrei Kovalenko, Doug Weight, Todd Marchant, and Marius Czerkawski all made valuable contributions to the win, alongside Cujo. While not yet a Hockey Hall of Famer, Cujo was inducted into the St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame in 2015.
