The Vegas Golden Knights and Edmonton Oilers battled it out in Game 4, resulting in a win for the Oilers and tying the series at two games apiece for each team.

During the intense matchup, Nic Hague from the Golden Knights initiated a fight with the Oilers' Darnell Nurse, prompting Nurse to drop his gloves and engage in the altercation.

However, the referees surprised many by penalizing Nurse as the instigator, much to his dismay. Nurse argued that the fight was not mutually agreed upon, making the penalty seem unfair. Strangely, despite Hague starting the confrontation, he did not receive any penalties under Rule 46.21 for initiating the fight.

Once again, the game management decisions of the referees come into question, leaving fans and players alike scratching their heads.

An update on the situation comes from Mark Stone, who revealed that Nic Hague did indeed request the fight. If this information holds true, it brings into question the justification for Nurse's instigator penalty and potential suspension.

The discussions surrounding the incident continue to unfold, leaving fans and analysts pondering the fairness of the referee's decisions. As the series progresses, it remains to be seen how these events will impact the momentum and outcome of the games ahead.
